Job Overview

Join our dynamic healthcare team as an MRI Technologist, where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients. Your expertise in operating MRI scanners and other medical imaging equipment will ensure accurate, safe, and efficient imaging procedures. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to patient care through precise imaging techniques, collaboration with healthcare professionals, and adherence to safety protocols. Your dedication will help facilitate timely diagnoses and improve patient outcomes in a fast-paced, supportive environment.

Responsibilities

Operate Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanners to acquire detailed images for diagnostic evaluation, ensuring optimal image quality.
Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the exam.
Perform additional diagnostic imaging procedures such as Computed Tomography (CT), DEXA scans for bone density assessment, Sonography (ultrasound), and Vascular access techniques as needed.
Maintain strict adherence to patient safety regulations, aseptic techniques, and equipment safety procedures to prevent contamination and ensure optimal functioning of all medical devices.
Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret images accurately and assist in diagnostic radiology assessments.
Utilize Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) for storing, retrieving, and managing medical images efficiently.
Ensure all medical terminology used during procedures is accurate; maintain detailed documentation of each imaging session for patient records.
Assist with patient care by monitoring vital signs during procedures, providing reassurance, and responding promptly to any adverse reactions or emergencies using Basic Life Support (BLS) skills.
Keep up-to-date with advancements in MRI technology, physiology knowledge, and diagnostic evaluation techniques to continually enhance service quality.

Qualifications

Proven experience operating MRI scanners along with familiarity with CT, DEXA scans, Sonography, and Vascular access procedures.
Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and radiology principles essential for accurate image acquisition and interpretation.
Certification or licensure as an MRI Technologist or Radiologic Technologist is preferred; relevant certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS).
Demonstrated ability to perform IV insertions and vascular access with precision while maintaining aseptic technique.
Knowledge of medical equipment operation and safety procedures related to MRI scanners and other diagnostic tools.
Excellent patient care skills with a focus on patient safety regulations; compassionate communication to ease patient anxiety during procedures.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team while managing multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
