Full Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Director to lead our sales strategy, strengthen customer relationships, and drive sustainable revenue growth. This position is responsible for developing and executing the company’s sales strategy while leading, coaching, and holding the sales team accountable to established goals. This position will work with all companies in the organization. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who understands relationship-based selling, knows how to build and manage a healthy sales pipeline, and can balance long-term business development with day-to-day sales execution. Experience in the HVAC, mechanical, construction, commercial service, or related industry is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute sales strategies that support company revenue and growth goals.
Lead, coach, develop, and manage the sales team to achieve individual and company sales objectives.
Establish sales goals, performance expectations, KPIs, and accountability measures.
Build and maintain a strong, qualified sales pipeline.
Identify new markets, customers, partnerships, and business development opportunities.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, contractors, property managers, developers, and business partners.
Participate in strategic customer meetings, presentations, negotiations, and major sales opportunities.
Collaborate with operations, service, estimating, project management, and executive leadership to ensure customer expectations and company objectives are aligned.
Monitor sales performance, market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity.
Prepare sales forecasts, reports, budgets, and performance updates for leadership.
Evaluate pricing strategies, margins, and sales opportunities to support profitable growth.
Establish consistent sales processes, expectations, and follow-up practices.
Ensure effective use of the company CRM and maintain accurate sales and pipeline information.
Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and exceptional customer service.
Represent the company professionally within the community and industry.

Qualifications

Proven experience in sales leadership, business development, or a similar role.
Demonstrated success developing sales teams and achieving revenue growth.
Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to establish goals and hold team members accountable while maintaining a positive, collaborative culture.
Strong understanding of sales forecasting, pipeline management, and performance metrics.
Excellent negotiation, presentation, and customer service skills.
Ability to think strategically while remaining involved in day-to-day sales activities.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with CRM systems and standard business technology.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel between business locations

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in HVAC, mechanical contracting, construction, commercial service, building systems, or a related industry.
Existing relationships within the local commercial or construction market.
Experience selling service agreements, projects, equipment, or other technical solutions.
Experience developing sales compensation plans, KPIs, and incentive programs.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
