Position Summary

The Post Harvest Technician is a versatile role responsible for assisting in various post-harvest activities, including machine or hand trimming, harvesting, and packaging of cannabis products. This position requires flexibility and a willingness to learn and adapt to different tasks within the post-harvest process.

Trimming, Harvesting, & Packaging

Assist the Trim Supervisor in setting up workstations for trimming or packaging tasks.
Operate trim machines and/or perform hand trimming of cannabis flower utilizing shears.
Package flower cannabis products according to company standards and guidelines.
Assist in pulling down plants for harvest and preparing them for processing.
Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas after each trimming or packaging session.

General Duties

Maintain a steady work pace and flow throughout the day to meet production goals.
Comply with company policies, state regulations, and OSHA safety standards always.
Uphold the highest standards of quality and cleanliness in the workspace.
Other duties as assigned by management.

Competencies & Skills

Ability to read and interpret standard operating procedures, employee handbooks, and other company documents.
Effective verbal communication skills to interact with team members and convey ideas and messages.
Professional written communication skills for documentation and reporting purposes.

Qualifications

Preference is given to those with prior cannabis experience. Training will be provided as necessary.
Must be twenty-one (21) years of age. Must pass a criminal background check in accordance with DCR guidelines to get a Missouri Agent ID.

Education, Technical Knowledge & Experience

High School Diploma or GED.
Cannabis Science and Education certificate preferred.
In-depth understanding of post-harvest processes, including drying, curing, trimming, and packaging techniques.
Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to analyze information and prioritize duties effectively.
Adapt to changing priorities and tasks in a dynamic work environment.

Physical & Work Environment

This position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Moderate lifting of up to 40 pounds may be expected.
