Outside Industrial Sales Representative - Northern NJ
This position requires that the candidate live in the Northern NJ region, a rich territory for ECI, to grow sales and support all assigned industrial accounts within the Northern NJ market: including power plants, chemical companies, pharmaceutical production and other life science sites, oil and gas companies, and food and beverage.
Extensive product training is an ongoing feature at ECI. The first 1-2 years requires frequent travel to our HQ in Edgemont, PA to attend training and meetings. Will also travel to our manufacture’s sites for factory training.

Description:
This is one of our best territories with a huge customer base and lots more to go after.
This role supports industrial customers in the Northern half of New Jersey; candidates need to be based here, and will be expected to travel within the territory.
The Outside Sales Engineer will be responsible for maintaining existing relationships and generating new business through prospecting and networking, presenting and selling Eastern Controls’ products, preparing and delivering customer-focused presentations, and providing post-sales support.
The Outside Sales Engineer will also be responsible for managing sales channels, establishing and maintaining key relationships with customers, and meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or related technical field. Highly prefer BS in Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical Engineering.
1 + years of sales experience in industrial automation or liquid and gas controls.
Excellent technical communication and customer service skills.
Provable sales and account management skills.
Authorized to work in the United States.

Must have a strong work ethic, coupled with the ability to influence others, drive sales and serve as the trusted advisor to your customers to solve their biggest engineering challenges.

Must live in North Jersey with the ability to drive within the territory and travel to our HQ in Edgemont, PA to attend trainings and meetings as needed.
