To build our growing team, we seek a highly motivated and skilled Principal Consultant. The Principal Consultant plays a critical role in CTC’s success by acting as an expert consultant and strategic advisor to one or more of our clients. As a Principal Consultant, you will be responsible for researching and analyzing our clients’ business problems, developing recommendations based on rigorous review and insight, delivering and presenting complex consulting solutions, ensuring the high-quality delivery of our work, promoting client satisfaction, and coordinating with other CTC experts and support teams.

Desired Expertise and Skills:
The following experience matters to us for this position (most or all of these is a plus):
One or both of the following is required for this position:
- Minimum of ten years of client-facing consulting experience, demonstrating a proven ability to manage client relationships, deliver high-quality work, and navigate complex business challenges.
- Minimum of ten years of demonstrable expertise across broadband policy, infrastructure funding and implementation, digital opportunity, grants management, or broadband mapping and data analysis projects.
Other experience:
- Practical experience coordinating with project stakeholders; aligning deliverables with expectations; anticipating and responding to stakeholder needs on tight timelines; ensuring quality outcomes through effective communication and risk management; owning the delivery of services; working with teams at all levels, from staff to executive management; and successfully presenting recommendations and analysis.

Principal Consultants are responsible for the following tasks:
- Leading the development of high-quality deliverables and solutions for clients in collaboration with engagement managers, subject matter experts, and project teams.
- Resolving questions or problems identified by internal and external stakeholders to support the project teams with execution of tasks.
- Serving as a dependable point of contact for clients alongside the project manager, working collaboratively to identify needs and strategic objectives, and delivering actionable insights and analysis.
- Maintaining and growing CTC’s relationships with our clients and their teams throughout the lifecycle of our engagements.
- Verifying that all work products meet quality standards and client expectations.
- Creatively evaluating client needs and potential solutions while operating within the strategic and risk mitigation frameworks established by CTC and our clients.
- Collaborating with other CTC teams, consultants, and subject-matter experts to satisfy engagement requirements.
- Overseeing and mentoring junior consultants and analysts, while providing direction and feedback to ensure effective team communication, collaboration, workload balance, and supporting professional development.
- Supporting project managers and leadership with business development by identifying follow-on opportunities or new project leads and contributing to subsequent proposals, pricing, and scopes of work.
- A flexible schedule is necessary to accommodate meetings and client needs across various time zones.
