We've recently unveiled a stunning remodel of Honor Kitchen and Cocktails, and to match our fresh look, we're seeking a motivated and experienced Kitchen Manager/Sous Chef to spearhead our culinary journey. Here, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our success, ensuring our kitchen runs like a well-oiled machine while creating an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

The Role:

Become a Leader of the Kitchen: With The Executive Chef, oversee all aspects of the kitchen, from menu development and prep work to service execution and maintaining the highest standards for quality, consistency, and presentation.
Lead with Inspiration: Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing kitchen team by providing mentorship, clear communication, and a commitment to professional development.
Craft Seasonal Delights: Work closely with our chefs to create innovative pizzas and shareable plates that showcase the bounty of California's farms and purveyors.
Sharpen Your Business Acumen: Manage inventory control, ensure cost-effectiveness, and develop purchasing strategies to maintain profitability.
Safety First: Champion a culture of cleanliness, sanitation, and adherence to all safety protocols.
Embrace the Emeryville Vibe: Be a part of a vibrant community restaurant, fostering a welcoming atmosphere for our guests.

You'll Thrive Here If You Have:

A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Kitchen Manager or Sous Chef in a high-volume kitchen environment.
A deep understanding of culinary techniques with a passion for creating innovative and delicious food.
Strong leadership and communication skills that inspire and motivate your team.
The ability to multi-task, prioritize effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
A commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe kitchen workspace.
Experience with menu development, inventory management, and cost controls is a plus.
