Doorman / Guest Experience Ambassador Overview

We are seeking a polished, professional, and hospitality-driven Restaurant Doorman / Guest Experience Ambassador to become the first and last impression of our restaurant. This position plays a vital role in creating a warm, welcoming, and refined arrival experience while maintaining the comfort, safety, and atmosphere of the property. The ideal candidate is personable, observant, and confident in managing guest interactions with professionalism, discretion, and exceptional customer service.

As the face of the restaurant, you will greet guests, assist with arrivals and departures, uphold our dress code and guest policies, coordinate with the host team, and help ensure a seamless flow at the entrance while maintaining a calm, welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

Welcome every guest with warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality.
Open doors and assist guests with arrivals and departures.
Work closely with the host stand to manage guest arrivals, reservations, and waitlists.
Verify reservations and assist in directing guests to the appropriate entrance, dining room, or lounge.
Politely enforce restaurant dress code and guest policies while maintaining a positive guest experience.
Monitor the entrance, valet area, and exterior surroundings to ensure a safe, clean, and organized arrival experience.
Help maintain order during peak service periods while managing guest flow with professionalism.
Assist in identifying and discreetly addressing disruptive behavior before it impacts other guests.
Provide directions, answer guest questions, and assist with special requests whenever possible.
Communicate effectively with management regarding guest concerns, VIP arrivals, or operational needs.
Observe the property for safety concerns and immediately report maintenance or security issues.
Assist during emergency situations by following company procedures and supporting management when needed.
Maintain a professional appearance and represent the restaurant's standards of luxury hospitality at all times.

Qualifications

Previous experience in hospitality, luxury restaurants, hotels, concierge services, guest relations, or door hospitality preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Friendly, confident, and professional demeanor.
Ability to remain calm under pressure while delivering exceptional guest service.
Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills.
Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion in guest interactions.
Professional appearance with exceptional grooming standards.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
CPR and First Aid certification is a plus but not required.
