Barista — Glia's Coffee Co. | El Paso County Courthouse Location
Glia's Coffee Co. is hiring a barista for our Courthouse location only (El Paso County Courthouse, 3rd floor). This is a customer-facing role in a professional, high-traffic environment serving courthouse staff, attorneys, jurors, and visitors. We're looking for someone who brings warmth, consistency, and genuine hospitality to every interaction.
Compensation & Benefits
- PTO for full-time employees.
- Starting pay: $7.50/hour plus pooled tips (cash and card), which typically add $4–$8/hour at this location, depending on traffic.
- Paid every two weeks via direct deposit; card and cash tips are included in your direct deposit
- Total earnings will always meet or exceed applicable minimum wage requirements
- Professional HR support through a dedicated third-party HR group (CANO HR LLC) — payroll, documentation, and workplace concerns are handled promptly, confidentially, and by the book
- Paid, hands-on training — no prior coffee experience needed
- Weekends and National Holidays off (weekday-only schedule)
- Free shift beverages and employee discount (one free shift drink and 15% off food items at the courthouse location, or 40% off at other Glia's locations, redeemable on days off).
Who We're Looking For
A friendly, upbeat person who delivers high-quality customer service and takes pride in making people's day a little better. Coffee experience is not required; we'll train the right person, though prior barista or café experience is preferred. A genuine curiosity about coffee, its craft, and its culture is a big plus.
Because this location operates within a county facility, all team members are expected to meet the professional conduct standards of the building at all times: courteous communication, discretion, punctuality, and a polished, respectful presence.
Availability Requirements
- Open weekday availability, Monday through Friday, or a minimum of four weekdays (e.g., Monday–Thursday)
- Ability to maintain this availability for the next 3 months (through late September / early October 2026)
- Full shifts run 6:30 AM – 4:30 PM; scheduled shifts fall within this window
Availability is a core requirement of this role. Applicants who cannot commit to this schedule will not be considered for this opening at this time, though we welcome applications for future openings that better fit your availability. Schedule availability will be confirmed in writing during the hiring process, and continued employment is contingent on maintaining the availability agreed to at hire.

- Communicate professionally with customers, teammates, and courthouse personnel
- Support smooth daily operations as part of a small, collaborative team
