Production Supervisor Job Description
POSITION SUMMARYWe are a 24/7 operation, so schedule flexibility is very important. You will be assigned a primary shift and possibly asked to assist on other shifts as needed. Night and Day shifts are available.
RESPONSIBILITIES: (include, but are not limited to, the following)

Manage manufacturing employees daily activities to include performance reviews and disciplinary actions
Manage the day-to-day operations of the shift with constant emphasis on safety, quality, delivery and cost
Makes recommendations for improvements to create efficiency, reduce costs, eliminate issues, and achieve resolution
Monitor production activities to eliminate waste and ensure adherence to production and shipping schedule
Work with other team members to control and improve efficiencies, minimize labor overtime, downtime and repair expenses
Control load factors and workflow to ensure maximum use of available capacity and effective use of labor, tools and equipment
Maintains a safety culture and cultivates safe behavior through development and monitoring of safety standards.
Optimizes materials, schedules, and the WIP flow through the production and assembly lines to ensure a high on-time delivery rate to our customers.
Oversees all individual and machine performance reports to guarantee effective operations and adherence to standards.
Works in the best interest of the business by making decisions that reflect the company's core values.
Assists in reporting absenteeism and time keeping.
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
Develops constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintaining them.
Enters, transcribes, records, stores, or maintains information in written and/or electronic form.
Identifies the developmental needs of others and coaching, mentoring, and or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge and or skills.
Performs day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files, time cards and processing paperwork.
Inspects equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors and or other problems or defects.
Responsible for monthly safety training of crews, the orientation of new employees,

MAJOR PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Standing: Most tasks are performed in a standing position with frequent walking.
Lifting: Frequent lifting of items ranging in weight from 20 lbs. to 75 lbs. Crain Hoists are available.
Walking: Frequent walking of short distances (approx. 200 feet or less).
Carrying: Frequent carrying of items ranging in weight from 20 lbs. to 75 lbs. Crain Hoists are available.
Bending: Frequent bending and crouching required to complete assembly tasks.
Reaching: Continuous full range of motion from above the shoulders to below the knees.

Supervisar y administrar el flujo de trabajo para garantizar el máximo uso de la capacidad disponible y el uso efectivo de la mano de obra, las herramientas y el equipo.
Mantiene una cultura de seguridad y cultiva un comportamiento seguro a través del desarrollo y monitoreo de estándares de seguridad.
Optimiza los materiales, horarios y el flujo WIP a través de las líneas de producción y ensamblaje para garantizar un porcentaje alto de entrega a tiempo a nuestros clientes.

Realiza tareas administrativas diarias, como mantener archivos de información, tarjetas de tiempo y procesar papeleo.
Inspecciona equipos, estructuras o materiales para identificar la causa de errores u otros problemas o defectos.
Responsable de la capacitación mensual de seguridad de los empleados en su turno, responsable de la orientación de los nuevos empleados
