JOB SUMMARY

Role Description

The Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Programmer is a full-time, on-site role located in El Paso, TX.
This role is responsible for creating, optimizing, and maintaining CNC programs for milling and machining operations to meet production, quality, and safety requirements.
Day-to-day tasks include reviewing engineering and technical drawings, selecting appropriate tools and fixtures, defining machining strategies, and generating programs using CAM or machine-specific software. The CNC Programmer will collaborate closely with machinists, engineers, and production staff to set up jobs, troubleshoot programs, refine cutting parameters, and reduce cycle times. Additional responsibilities include verifying programs through test runs, documenting processes, maintaining program files, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor.

Qualifications

Strong CNC Programming skills, including experience generating and modifying programs for milling and machining centers.
Proficiency in Machining and Milling processes, with hands-on understanding of machine setup, cutting tools, feeds, and speeds.
Ability to read and interpret Technical Drawings, blueprints, and GD&T to translate engineering requirements into precise machining instructions.
General Programming aptitude and familiarity with G-code, CAM software, and machine controllers (e.g., Fanuc, Haas, or similar)
Attention to detail and commitment to quality, with experience working in a precision manufacturing or CNC environment.
Ability to collaborate effectively with machinists, engineers, and production teams, and to communicate clearly about technical issues.
Strong problem-solving skills, including troubleshooting machining issues and optimizing programs for efficiency and repeatability.
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certificate or associate degree in machining, manufacturing technology, or related field preferred.
Familiarity with shop safety practices, measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges), and basic inspection techniques.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
