Warehouse Manager

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing daily warehouse operations across multiple warehouse facilities totaling more than 200,000 square feet while supporting over 100 inbound and outbound truck movements each day. This position ensures safe, efficient, and accurate warehouse operations that support uninterrupted manufacturing and customer fulfillment.
The Warehouse Manager oversees end-to-end warehouse execution, including receiving, inventory control, material replenishment, storage optimization, shipping, and logistics coordination. This role is critical to ensuring the right materials are delivered to production at the right time, in the right quantity, and with the highest level of inventory accuracy.
Working closely with Production, Planning, Procurement, Logistics, Customs, and other cross-functional teams, the Warehouse Manager drives operational excellence through process optimization, warehouse system improvements, standardized procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong operational expertise, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to lead large teams across multiple warehouse locations.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Warehouse Scalability
- Develop long-term warehouse strategies to support operational expansion.
- Forecast future storage, labor, equipment, and system requirements.
- Evaluate warehouse processes and implement scalable solutions.
- Lead warehouse automation and process improvement initiatives including Kanban, TCMS, and material call-off systems.
- Support facility expansion projects and warehouse redesign efforts.
Operational Performance & Continuous Improvement
· Establish and monitor warehouse Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including:
o Inventory Accuracy
o Truck Turnaround Time
o Dock Utilization
o Shipping Accuracy
o Productivity
o On-Time Material Delivery
· Analyze operational data to identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
· Drive Lean initiatives that improve warehouse productivity and reduce waste.
· Utilize data analytics and reporting tools to support operational decision-making.
· Continuously improve inbound, outbound, and internal logistics processes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
· Partner with Production, Planning, Procurement, Logistics, Customs, and Transportation teams to ensure efficient material flow.
· Coordinate daily operations between U.S. and Mexico warehouse and manufacturing facilities.
· Support cross-border logistics planning and customs compliance activities.
· Participate in operational reviews and provide warehouse performance updates to leadership.
· Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve logistics challenges and improve overall supply chain performance.
Leadership & Team Development
- Recruit, develop, coach, and lead warehouse supervisors and employees.
- Build a high-performance culture centered on safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Establish performance expectations and conduct regular performance evaluations.
- Develop cross-training programs to improve workforce flexibility and operational continuity.
- Promote employee engagement and professional development.
Material Flow & Logistics Optimization
- Lead initiatives to improve material movement between warehouses and manufacturing operations.
- Optimize truck scheduling, dock management, unloading, staging, and shipping processes.
- Improve warehouse layout and material flow to minimize handling and transportation waste.
- Drive system integration between warehouse operations, logistics, and production scheduling.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field required
Decision Making & Authority
· Make operational decisions regarding staffing, scheduling, workflow, and warehouse priorities within approved budgets.
· Lead continuous improvement projects that improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance.
· Resolve complex warehouse and logistics issues through collaboration with cross-functional teams.
· Recommend process improvements, automation opportunities, and operational investments.
Preferred Certifications & Technical Skills
Preferred qualifications include:
· Lean Six Sigma Certification
· Project Management Certification (PMP or equivalent)
· Experience with:
o Power BI
o Power Automate
o Advanced Microsoft Excel
o Excel Macros
o Python
o Warehouse automation technologies
o Material flow optimization systems
Scope & Impact
Manage warehouse operations across multiple facilities totaling approximately 200,000+ square feet.
Oversee more than 100 inbound and outbound truck movements daily.
Ensure continuous material availability to support manufacturing production.
Drive warehouse scalability to support future business growth.
Directly influence inventory accuracy, logistics efficiency, production continuity, customer satisfaction, and operational costs.
Education/Experience:
· 4–6 years of warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing operations management experience.
· Experience managing medium-to-large warehouse operations or multiple warehouse facilities.
· Proven leadership experience managing warehouse personnel and supervisors.
· Experience supporting manufacturing operations is strongly preferred.
· Experience with cross-border logistics between the United States and Mexico is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to alternate between office-based work and production floor activities.
· Ability to walk and stand for extended periods on manufacturing floors.
· Ability to travel frequently between U.S. and Mexico facilities.
· Ability to attend meetings, presentations, and cross-functional discussions.
· Ability to use computers and standard office equipment for extended periods.
· Ability to respond to operational issues that may require movement across large facilities.
Work Environment:
· Manufacturing plant and office environments.
· Regular presence required at both El Paso and Ciudad Juárez facilities.
· Cross-border travel required to support operations and leadership alignment.
· Fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.
· Frequent interaction with production, engineering, warehouse, and leadership teams.
· Exposure to production floor conditions, including noise, equipment movement, and varying temperatures.
