Provide confidential complex support services under minimal supervision, to Human Resources Department by ensuring timely and accurate information is processed. In-person work on campus is an essential function of this position.
Employee is responsible for filing and maintaining all employee personnel files. Screen and check items to be filed and filing is being performed quickly and efficiently. Perform needed periodical audits of employee files. Verify visitor and employee credentials for reviewing personnel files. Contribute to improving department processes and independently research any issues.
Process employment verification forms and complete in a timely manner. Verify information is accurate, identify and correct errors, and ensure document is signed by designated Human Resources (HR) personnel. Provide information and instruction on department processes, policies, and procedures.
Generate and prepare teacher service records. Complete request on a timely manner. Ensure document is signed by designated Human Resources personnel.
Review and assist with unemployment claims. Complete request on a timely manner. Observe and meet deadlines set by the Texas Workforce Commission. Assist and gather information for unemployment claim hearings. Ensure document is signed by designated HR personnel.
Assist internal and external customers by responding to inquiries and providing information to include requests under the Texas Public Information Act. Perform general office functions including telephone, responding to e-mail, scanned documents, and faxes. Typing forms, memos, letters, reports, and distribute departmental documents and forms. Refer customers to the correct HR Office for further assistance.
Participate and assist in special projects. Assist other HR offices with time sensitive projects and deadlines. Conduct research and analysis for projects and prepare and print reports.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
1. Associate's Degree and two (2) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
