Job Summary:
The Shift Lead/Floor Manager position is a leadership role that focuses on front-of-house and back-of-house operations, customer experience, and daily service flow, ensuring every guest interaction reflects the standards of EZPZ. This role is structured as a direct pipeline to become the Assistant General Manager (AGM), offering hands-on training in high-level operational strategy, P&L management, and team development. This role requires someone who combines hospitality leadership, operational discipline, and business awareness. At EZPZ, we believe great restaurants run on three things: strong product, clear systems, and genuine human connection. The Shift Lead/Floor Manager helps protect all three.

Responsibilities:
The Shift Lead/Floor Manager is responsible for setting the tone for hospitality in the restaurant. Responsibilities include:

Greeting and engaging guests, with a commitment to mastering the art of personalized, memorable hospitality.
Managing customer interactions and resolving issues, while developing advanced conflict resolution and recovery strategies.
Ensuring service flow remains smooth during peak periods, with an eye toward mastering floor planning and real-time operational adjustments.
Maintaining a welcoming, energetic dining environment, and striving to become the primary driver of restaurant atmosphere and energy.
Supporting community engagement within the neighborhood, with a desire to take ownership of local partnerships and brand representation.
Scheduling front and back of house shifts, building toward full mastery of labor forecasting and optimization.
Monitoring labor and ensuring break efficiency and compliance, with a goal of becoming proficient in labor law compliance and cost-control strategies.
Tracking inventory and ordering, and working toward advanced proficiency in supply chain management and waste reduction.
Participating in AGM-level training modules, including financial reporting, vendor relations, and performance management, to prepare for career advancement.
Taking on additional responsibilities as part of the AGM development pathway, with a demonstrated eagerness to master every facet of restaurant leadership.

Skills:

Strong management skills with proven experience supervising teams in a retail or hospitality setting, and a drive to refine leadership abilities at a higher level.
Strategic planning capabilities to set goals, develop action plans, and measure success effectively, with a desire to deepen expertise in long-term business strategy and financial decision-making.
Leadership qualities that inspire confidence, foster collaboration, and promote staff development, alongside a commitment to mastering coaching and mentorship techniques.
Service flow and guest experience management, with a focus on continuously elevating hospitality standards.
Team communication between FOH and kitchen, with the goal of becoming a seamless bridge across all departments.
Opening and closing procedures, with an eagerness to take on greater accountability for overall store readiness.
Front-of-house training and standards, and an interest in developing training systems that scale.
Maintaining a calm and organized environment during rushes, while working toward mastering crisis management and high-pressure decision-making.
Proficiency in Toast and Sling, with a willingness to expand technical knowledge into inventory analytics and labor modeling.
A growth mindset and intellectual curiosity, with a demonstrated desire to master the operational, financial, and cultural pillars of restaurant leadership.

Experience:

At least 5 years of restaurant experience is required
1 year of management or supervisory experience is required; 2 years preferred
Strong hospitality mindset and guest-first approach
Ability to stay calm and organized during busy service
Experience with staff scheduling and operational systems
Strong communication and leadership skills
Team-first attitude
A demonstrated interest in advancing into senior leadership and a willingness to take on increasing responsibility.

Pay: $25.00 per hour
