Full Job Description

Job Summary:

The overall responsibility of the Staff Accountant is to support the Controller in the maintenance of accurate and timely financial statements. Duties for the position include assisting the Controller during the monthly accounting close; preparing account and bank reconciliations as assigned, serve as back-up for both our AP and AR Associates in their absence; and maintain internal and external records retention.

Essential Job Functions:

· Assist the Controller during the monthly accounting close process

Prepare and enter journal entries as required.
Review and approve AP vouchers under $1000.
Reconcile monthly board bills

· Process billing on a daily basis.

· Review and process board bills ACH transfers weekly.

· Accounts Payable Associate back-up

· Accounts Receivable Associate back-up

Additional Responsibilities:

· Prepare bank reconciliations as required.

· Review account analysis for discrepancies.

· File accounting documents.

· Maintain internal and external records retention.

· Update Key Stats Report daily.

· Ad hoc reports as required.

· Other duties as assigned

Monthly inventory reviews of Inventory (RM, WIP & FG) with Customer Service
Additional financial reports as necessary
Assist the reception area with the phone duties.

Job Qualifications:

· Accounting or Finance Degree.

· 1-2 years’ experience required; Manufacturing/Cost Accounting/Inventory Mgmt. a plus

· Prior experience with Accounts Payable and Billing modules within ERP systems a plus.

· Strong mathematical skills

· Strong interpersonal skills /Ability to work with others at all levels within the organization

· Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
