Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bill Reconciliation Specialist to join our dynamic healthcare finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of billing records by reconciling medical bills, insurance claims, and payment transactions. Your expertise will help streamline revenue cycles, improve financial accuracy, and support efficient medical billing processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment where precision and analytical skills are essential for success.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Review, analyze, and reconcile monthly insurance carrier invoices (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary benefits) against enrollment records, contracts, and rates
Identify billing discrepancies such as eligibility errors, rate mismatches, duplicate charges, or missing credits
Research, document, and resolve billing issues by coordinating with insurance carriers, internal account teams, and clients
Prepare and submit billing corrections, adjustment requests, and retroactive terminations or enrollments as needed
Ability to use excel to track billing corrections through resolution to ensure timely and accurate refunds or adjustments
Maintain detailed reconciliation records, audit trails, and supporting documentation
Assist clients in understanding carrier bills and reconciliation outcomes, when appropriate
Support annual renewal, open enrollment, and carrier transitions by validating billing setup and eligibility data
Monitor ongoing billing accuracy and proactively identify potential problem areas
Participate in internal audits and contribute to process improvement initiatives
Comply with company policies, carrier requirements, and applicable regulatory standards

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
