Full Job Description

Dietary/Food Service Manager

Crown Cypress Assisted Living Community is seeking an energetic, experienced Dietary Services Manager to lead our food service team in creating a positive dining experience for residents. This FT position is responsible for the day-to-day kitchen operations at our facility. We serve three meals per day and have special events when food is served to the families and public.

Primary requirements:

Three to five experience in food service management and supervision, preferably in an assisted living community or other healthcare related field.
Additional studies/training in management, food services or similar area is highly desirable.
Possess current Food services Sanitation Certificate or the ability to obtain within 6 months
Food purchasing experience for 50+ people.
Must be able to read and speak English, which will enable you communicate effectively with all persons. Ability to communicate effectively through English written and verbal word
Supervisory experience

Primary responsibilities:

Enjoy working with the elderly
Establishing and maintaining all standards of quality and productivity within the Dietary Department that enhances the quality of life for those residents entrusted to our care.
Establish, document, direct, and assist with general kitchen and dining room sanitation procedures
Prepare schedules for all shifts, for all kitchen and dining room staff and post in their work areas
Train, discipline, and supervise a full complement of staff
Comply with all state, local, or federal rules, regulations, and licensing requirements related to health, safety (OSHA) and general operations of the Dietary Department
Cooking will be a daily responsibility workplace
Minimum requirement of high school diploma or equivalent
Serve Safe certification or equivalent required
Minimum three years supervisory experience within a dietary environment
Must have a working knowledge of kitchen equipment operations; knowledge of nutrition and diet, and kitchen sanitation
Drug and TB testing and background check required

Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
