Position: Inside Sales Representative
Position Summary: Flora Fresh Inc. is an employee-owned wholesale floral, plant, and floral supply distributor located in Sacramento, California. We are looking for a driven and results oriented Inside Sales Representative to join the team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying new market opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and expanding our fresh flower offerings across mass-market and wholesale channels. You will play a key role in fueling our growth by opening new accounts and converting prospects into long-term partners.

Compensation:
· $20.00 - 25.00 per hour
Sales Duties:
· Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities across the floral industry including florists, retail, schools, grocery chains, and wholesale distributors
· Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers, category managers, and key retail partners
· Deliver excellent follow-up and customer care to ensure satisfaction and retention
· Develop and execute territory sales plans to meet and exceed revenue targets
· Present and pitch Flora Fresh's product portfolio to potential clients, tailoring messaging to each channel and audience
· Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms with new and existing partners
· Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, logistics, and marketing teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment and customer satisfaction
· Accurately track, record, and report sales efforts and provide feedback to management using statistical data
· Stay informed on floral industry trends, seasonal demand cycles, competitor activity, and consumer insights to identify emerging opportunities
· Represent Flora Fresh at trade shows, floral expos, and industry events
· Input Sales Orders for plants, fresh cut flowers, and supplies into our point of sale
· Convert sales orders into invoices in preparation for order delivery
· Assist outside sales team with visiting customers
· Answer and direct calls incoming to Flora Fresh Inc
· Assist Will Call with helping customers and creating invoices when needed
· Assist with other operational functions as required and all other duties as requested
· Box and carry out orders up to 50lbs
Minimum Requirements:
· 2–5 years of sales experience
· Proven track record of opening new accounts and growing revenue through mass-market, grocery, or wholesale channels
· Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to build trust quickly
· Understanding of perishable supply chains and seasonal product cycles is a plus
· Self-motivated, goal-driven, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment
· Willingness to travel to meet clients and attend trade shows or industry events
· Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills
· Excellent Excel, Outlook, and general computer skills
· Experience in Customer Service and/or Sales, including cold calling
· Proven ability to switch between projects and a willingness to take on projects that are outside the normal scope of the day-to-day work
· Working knowledge of plants, fresh cut flowers, and/or floral supplies
Working Conditions:
· In-person in Sacramento, CA
· Most shifts are 8 hours, but hours may fluctuate throughout peak and slower seasons
· Must be willing to stand, lift heavy object, and managed different temperature of the warehouse and coolers, on occasion
· Must be able to consistently work around plants and flowers of different varieties
