Full Job Description

The Intermittent Monitoring Technologists are responsible for performing EEG Monitoring and/or other EEG related services or responsibilities as required by CortiCare. The settings for the monitoring are remote from the Technologist’s home office. This includes assisting the patient during testing, monitoring EEG, and performing administrative items including documenting in the EHR. The Technologist may also be responsible creating helpdesk tickets, and remote equipment troubleshooting.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform Remote Video Ambulatory EEG Monitoring in accordance with national and company guidelines in all age groups.
Ability to effectively monitor multiple patients in various settings
Documentation of ictal activity, interictal activity, patient behavior, and instrument settings at regular intervals throughout the electroencephalogram
Recognize critical EEG patterns and alert appropriate staff and physician
Remotely perform Ictal testing and document appropriately
Use several pieces of equipment and perform multiple technical procedures
Make discriminating observations, and follow-up with the appropriate physician if indicated
Flexible and adaptable to changing needs. Strong interpersonal communication skills
Remains discrete and sensitive to patient specific age, culture, gender and medical conditions
Remains current and compliant with company policies
Promptly report issues to management
Comply with established deadlines
Promptly follow up with patient calls as needed
Maintain company equipment in your possession
Maintain good working relationships and communication with company departments and staff

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma
R.EEGT certification through ABRET
Experienced in working with all age groups
Ability to work within rapidly changing environments
Must maintain cell phone for business use
Must have access to internet connection
Must strictly adhere to HIPAA compliance
Must maintain good legal standing

Demonstrate appropriate social skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
