Beacon Health System is hiring a part-time day shift MRI Technologist position for our brand-new Mishawaka Outpatient Center at Beacon Health System, located in Mishawaka, IN.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a patient-centered environment and is committed to excellence in diagnostic imaging.

What You’ll Do

As a MRI Technologist, you’ll play a vital role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging to support early detection, diagnosis, and patient care.

MRI Technologist Job Responsibilities

Operate MRI scanners to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
Communicate clearly with patients, explaining procedures and ensuring their physical and psychological comfort.
Select and adjust imaging protocols based on diagnosis and patient condition.
Start IVs and administer contrast media safely, following ACR guidelines.
Maintain equipment and report malfunctions promptly.
Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely imaging.
Train and orient new staff, students, and job shadows.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and accreditation processes.
Clinical setting with direct patient care responsibilities.
Physical demands include standing/walking for extended periods, lifting patients (up to 35 lbs unassisted), and pushing equipment.

Required Qualifications

Education: Associate’s degree or equivalent certificate in Radiography or MRI.
Certification: ARRT MRI registration and current CPR certification required.
Experience: 1–2 years of MRI experience preferred.
Skills: Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, MRI equipment, and sterile techniques. Excellent communication and patient care skills.
