Full Job Description

Nebraska Methodist Health System is hiring a Phlebotomy Training Coordinator for the Methodist Physicians clinic at the Women's Center. This is a full-time, day shift position. While in this role you will provide phlebotomy training leadership to ensure proper and safe technique and patient comfort levels. Oversee laboratory specimen processing, date input inventory and equipment processing to ensure processes are streamlines and adhere to compliance requirements.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Promote consistent phlebotomy practices through employee training, performance improvement plans, and ongoing follow-up.
Maintain laboratory supply inventory and ensured adequate stock levels without overstocking or emergency orders.
Perform equipment maintenance and quality checks on laboratory instruments to ensure compliance with operational standards.
Process, label, store, and distribute patient specimens accurately and efficiently according to laboratory policies and procedures.
Enter patient demographics, test orders, and results accurately to support timely and reliable reporting to caregivers.
Collaborate effectively with laboratory staff, hospital personnel, couriers, and clients while prioritizing tasks and supporting team operations.

Address: 717 N 190th Plaza - Elkhorn, NE

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 4 days/week, 7am-5pm or 7:30-5:30pm

Salary:

Pay starts at $20.39 an hour and may increase based on work history/experience.

Job Requirements:

High School Diploma or General Educational Development (G.E.D.) required.
Minimum of 2 years phlebotomy experience required. Experience with patient venipuncture of all ages preferred. Experience with laboratory specimen processing and/or laboratory supply/equipment maintenance preferred.
Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician (PBT) from the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent professional organization required.
