POSITION: Full-Time

West Virginia Wesleyan College is accepting applications for the position of Senior Accountant. This position will support various aspects of the finance and accounting operations and is a full-time professional, 12-month appointment with excellent benefits.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Review expense reports for accuracy and completeness
Follow up of unsubmitted expense reports for credit card transactions
Amazon and Office Depot ordering, tracking and reconciling
Assist with account reconciliations
Miscellaneous data entry
Assist with IRS reporting
Assist in the preparation of audit schedules
Provide backup support for the finance department (AP, payroll, business office)
Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree required and two years of higher education or business experience preferred
Excellent written and oral communication skills; organizational skills; computer experience; and be detail oriented.
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
Results-oriented professional capable of working independently and creatively with a diverse constituency of students, faculty and staff
Highly proficient in Microsoft Suite software including Outlook, Word and Excel
