Job Details:

Job Title: School Psychologist - Schools
Location: Elko, NV
Setting: School
Pay Range: $60.00–$65.00/hour
Schedule: Discuss with recruiter
Contract Length: 2026–2027 School Year
Candidate Type: Local and traveler friendly
Preferred: Master's or Specialist degree in School Psychology, NV license, experience with IEPs, Reports, Counseling, and all grade levels
Requirements: Valid School Psychologist certification/license from the Nevada Department of Education (or willingness to obtain), previous experience in a school setting preferred, strong understanding of NV special education regulations and IDEA compliance

Responsibilities:

Provide essential mental health, behavioral, and academic support to students in educational settings.
Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations, cognitive testing, and behavioral assessments to determine eligibility for special education services.
Write, review, and implement goals and objectives for Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Facilitate and participate in IEP, 504, and Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) meetings.
Collaborate with school staff, teachers, therapists, and families to ensure students receive services tailored to their individual academic and emotional needs.
Provide short-term counseling, crisis intervention, and social-skills training to students as needed.
Work with children across a variety of classroom settings and provide additional psychological services depending on the needs of the student population.
