Full Job Description

GEN-TECH is a full-service industrial power generation company operating across Arizona, Southern Nevada, Colorado, and New Mexico. For more than 35 years, we have delivered industry-leading solutions including generator service, rentals, fueling, maintenance, parts, and technical support to customers across construction, healthcare, utilities, municipalities, data centers, and industrial sectors.

We are currently seeking a driven and customer-focused New Contract Sales Representative to help grow our service contract business throughout Nevada and surrounding markets.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building long-term customer relationships, identifying new opportunities, and helping customers protect critical power systems through preventive maintenance and service solutions.

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable managing both relationship development and sales growth within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

Generate new service contract opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and customer outreach
Grow recurring revenue through new agreements, renewals, upselling, and contract expansions
Maintain an active sales pipeline and consistently follow up on opportunities
Develop relationships with industrial customers, contractors, municipalities, property managers, and end users

Customer Relationships

Meet with customers to understand operational needs and recommend service solutions
Conduct site visits, virtual meetings, and customer follow-ups
Deliver professional and responsive communication throughout the sales process
Build long-term customer relationships through consultative and value-driven support

Proposals & Contract Support

Prepare service contract proposals, pricing, Scope of Work (SOW), and Time & Materials (T&M) estimates
Coordinate with Service, Parts, Operations, Estimating, and Technicians to ensure accurate scope and execution
Assist customers with technical and service-related information as needed
Track bid opportunities and maintain accurate sales activity records

Qualifications

3–5+ years of outside sales, contract sales, business development, or account management experience
Experience within power generation, industrial equipment, service sales, HVAC, electrical, construction, diesel engines, or related industries strongly preferred
Strong relationship-building and customer communication skills
Organized and detail-oriented with strong follow-up habits
Comfortable working independently and managing multiple opportunities simultaneously
Technical aptitude and ability to understand industrial service solutions
Ability to read technical drawings and specifications is considered an asset
Valid driver’s license required

Territory & Travel

Territory includes Nevada, parts of Utah, and Southern California
Travel expectation is 80%+ throughout the assigned territory
Expectation to consistently meet customers in person and maintain regular customer engagement throughout the region
Hybrid / remote flexibility available depending on candidate location and territory coverage
