Full Job Description

Full-time (1.0 FTE), 8.0 hour day, 12 month position

Research, monitor, communicate, and recommend federal, state, local, corporate, and foundation funding opportunities aligned with districts' priorities.
Assess district and organizational funding needs through collaboration with administrators and stakeholders.
Maintain relationships with public and private funding agencies, grant administrators, and community partners.
Coordinate the development and submission of competitive and non-competitive grant applications, ensuring timely, high-quality, and compliant proposals.
Prepare and review grant narratives, needs assessments, goals, objectives, budgets, timelines, evaluation plans, and other application components to ensure quality and compliance.
Coordinate internal peer review and quality assurance processes to ensure accurate, complete, and compliant grant applications.
Coordinate the assignment, evaluation, and recommendation of funding opportunities among grant procurement staff.
Prepare reports, presentations, and other grant-related communications.
Track grant submissions, awards, funding outcomes, and related grant activity.
Develop, review, maintain, and recommend improvements to grant development and procurement procedures.
Collaborate with the Grant Services Supervisor to establish priorities and department goals.
Provide technical assistance, guidance, coaching, and training to grant procurement staff, including coordinating professional development opportunities.
Serve as a resource to the grants team on grant regulations, funding requirements, and grant development best practices.
Perform related duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

GRANT WRITING COORDINATOR

This will be a provisional appointment pending Civil Service exam. The selected candidate must possess this title or be among the top three of a current, binding Civil Service list for the title or if no binding Civil Service list, be in the top three after taking the required Civil Service exam for the title.

Candidates must meet the following Civil Service requirements:

A. Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a Master’s Degree and four (4) years of professional level work experience or its part-time equivalent involving the development, administration or analysis of program or projects; or

B. Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a Baccalaureate Degree and six (6) years
