Job Type: Contract (Potential Temp-to-Hire for the Right Candidate)
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and organized Office Clerk to support daily administrative operations at a busy industrial facility in Avon Lake, OH. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys keeping an office running smoothly, providing excellent internal customer service, and managing a variety of administrative tasks throughout the day.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working independently while supporting employees, contractors, and visitors in a professional office environment.

Key Responsibilities

Office Administration

Order and maintain office supplies and inventory
Answer the front door and greet visitors, employees, and contractors
Receive incoming packages and distribute them to the appropriate personnel
Update and maintain company email distribution lists
Maintain electronic notification boards with current information

Meeting & Event Coordination

Set up conference rooms for meetings
Coordinate and prepare for company events
Order food and refreshments for meetings and special events

Administrative Support

Code invoices for payment processing
Stock visitor PPE and ensure supplies remain available
Operate the employee and contractor badging system
Ensure contractors complete required safety presentations before beginning work

Qualifications

Previous administrative, office support, receptionist, or office clerk experience preferred
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Comfortable using Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
Detail-oriented with strong follow-through
Professional and dependable

Interview Process

Manager will review resumes
Qualified candidates will be invited for a 1-hour onsite interview

Background Requirements

Education and employment verification required
Drug screening required
