About Level Up EFC
Level Up EFC helps kids, teens, and adults manage executive dysfunction challenges related to ADHD, autism, learning disabilities, mental health disorders, and life transitions. Our mission is to help clients reduce overwhelm, beat procrastination, increase self-esteem, and improve relationships by discovering personalized tools to reach their goals. We provide collaborative, tailored, hands-on coaching with a focus on the core executive function areas: working memory, inhibitory control, and cognitive flexibility. We support clients with skills like organization, task initiation and completion, memory, emotional regulation, planning and prioritizing, cognitive flexibility, and self-monitoring.
Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, empathetic, and neurodivergent-affirming Associate Executive Function Coach to join our growing practice and help expand our capacity to serve clients across all age groups, but particularly ages 6–23. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside an experienced practitioner while developing expertise in executive function coaching methodology. The ideal candidate will support our collaborative, client-centered approach while bringing fresh perspectives and energy to our team.
Key Responsibilities
Client Support Services
- Conduct 1:1 executive function coaching sessions with clients of all ages via Zoom and in-person in San Diego
- Provide parent coaching and family support services
- Maintain detailed session notes and track client progress
- Collaborate with clients to develop personalized strategies for executive function challenges
- Support clients with academic, professional, and personal performance goals
- Facilitate complimentary check-ins between sessions as needed
Administrative Support
- Assist with scheduling and client communication
- Help develop and maintain coaching resources and materials
- Help monitor the Level Up Hub productivity space
Additional Areas for Potential Contribution
- Support the creation of digital downloads and educational content
- Contribute to social media content development (Instagram/YouTube)
- Assist with workshop and group program development
Professional Development
- Participate in regular supervision and consultation with lead coach
- Attend relevant training and professional development opportunities
- Stay current with executive function coaching research and best practices
- Contribute to case discussions and treatment planning
Qualifications & Competencies
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, social work, cognitive science, or related field
- 2+ years of experience working with individuals with ADHD, autism, learning disabilities, or executive function challenges
- Experience with neurodivergent-affirming practices
- Thorough understanding of ADHD, autism, and other neurotypes
- Experience in coaching, tutoring, teaching, or therapeutic support roles
- Strong understanding of executive function skills and challenges
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to offer genuine empathy
- Ability to work with diverse age groups (children through adults)
- Comfortable with technology for virtual sessions and administrative tasks
- Reliable transportation for in-person sessions at the office
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in relevant field
- Certification in executive function coaching or related specialty
- Background in special education or learning support
- Understanding of IEPs, 504 Plans, and workplace accommodations
- Experience with parent coaching or family systems work

Working Conditions
- Hybrid position with both virtual and in-person client sessions at the office
- Part-time position: 5-10 hours per week initially, with likelihood of hours increasing
- Scheduling is somewhat flexible but most sessions would be scheduled weekdays between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. with potential for Saturday work, if desired
