Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a part-time Property Manager to support a growing portfolio of multifamily housing properties in the Binghamton/Southern Tier area. This is a flexible, self-directed role ideal for an experienced property management professional who wants meaningful hours without a full-time commitment. You'll be the tenant-facing point of contact and the eyes and ears on the ground for ownership.

What You'll Do

List and lease vacant units — including photos, marketing copy, and posting to listing platforms
Schedule and conduct property tours for prospective applicants
Screen and process rental applications
Perform pre-move-in and post-move-out unit inspections, documenting condition with photos/notes
Serve as the first line of contact for tenants and respond promptly to tenant inquiries
Coordinate and schedule maintenance requests with maintenance staff and outside contractors; follow up to confirm completion
Collect rent payments from tenants not paying online, and record accordingly
Perform general accounting/reconciliation of tenant ledgers
Manage and maintain tenant online portal accounts (rent payments, communications, documents)
Join a weekly call with ownership to review property status, leasing pipeline, and open items
Maintain professionalism and punctuality in all tenant interactions

What We're Looking For

3–5 years of property management experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Punctual and reliable with tenants and ownership
Proficient in Microsoft Word and basic photo editing/marketing for listings
Comfortable using online tenant/property management portals
Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle — travel between properties in the Binghamton area is required
Self-starter who can manage their own schedule and prioritize effectively
Basic comfort with numbers/ledgers for rent tracking and reconciliation

Compensation & Schedule

$20-25/hour base pay
Bonus compensation for each lease signed
Flexible, mostly self-created schedule — approximately 6–15 hours/week depending on property needs and leasing activity

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
