PURPOSE
The Treasury Analyst is responsible for supporting the Company's treasury operations through effective cash management, banking administration, cash forecasting, liquidity analysis, and revenue-to-cash reconciliation. This position plays a key role in providing timely visibility into the Company's cash position, maintaining banking relationships, strengthening treasury controls, and supporting liquidity planning.
The Treasury Analyst will also partner with Accounting, IT, and Operations to understand the Company's revenue and payment flows, reconcile operational and payment data to bank activity and the general ledger, investigate discrepancies, and improve the accuracy and efficiency of related processes.
KEY DELIVERABLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Treasury & Cash Management
- Own the daily cash-positioning process, including monitoring balances and projected inflows and outflows across all bank accounts.
- Develop and maintain rolling short-term cash forecasts and support longer-range liquidity planning by analyzing historical results, expected operating activity, capital expenditures, and financing requirements.
- Monitor liquidity requirements, identify potential funding needs, and communicate material forecast variances.
- Administer electronic banking platforms, banking services, user access, and approval controls.
- Maintain day-to-day relationships with banking partners and coordinate the resolution of operational and service matters.
- Coordinate the opening, closing, and maintenance of bank accounts and related treasury services.
- Support borrowing requests, debt compliance reporting, and lender information requests.
- Identify and implement treasury process improvements, controls, and best practices.
- Monitor bank fees and services and identify opportunities to improve cost, controls, and efficiency.
- Support fraud-prevention measures, including positive pay, ACH and wire controls, and periodic user-access reviews.
Revenue & Financial Analysis
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of revenue, payment activity, processor settlements, bank deposits, and general-ledger balances.
- Investigate and resolve settlement, deposit, and revenue discrepancies in collaboration with Accounting, Operations, IT, banking partners, and payment processors.
- Monitor settlement timing, returned payments, chargebacks, processing fees, and other cash-collection activity.
- Analyze revenue, cash collections, and payment trends and identify unusual variances requiring follow-up.
- Document revenue-to-cash processes, controls, and reconciliation procedures.
- Recommend and implement improvements that increase the accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency of revenue and cash reporting.
Other Responsibilities
- Assist with month-end and year-end treasury and cash-related close activities.
- Support internal and external audit requests.
- Maintain treasury policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Participate in special projects and continuous process improvement initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in treasury, finance, accounting, banking, or financial analysis.
- Demonstrated experience with cash forecasting, account reconciliations, or banking operations required.
- Multi-location retail, hospitality, fitness, or consumer services experience is preferred.
- Experience with payment processors, merchant services, or recurring-revenue businesses is preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Strong understanding of cash management principles and treasury operations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze large datasets and identify trends or discrepancies.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including experience working with large datasets, lookups, pivot tables, and financial models.
- Experience with banking portals, treasury management systems, and financial reporting tools is preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with finance, operations, IT, and external partners.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Process-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
- High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential financial information.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Primary work in a fitness facility and office setting. Temperature variations can occur. The environment includes some ambient noise such as talking and use of gym equipment and machinery.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS
- Talking: Especially where one must frequently convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly.
- Physical Strength: Sitting, standing, and walking. Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move a minimum of 30 pounds.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to deal with a variety of variables under limited standardization. Able to interpret various instructions and relay instructions to clients.
- Attendance is an essential duty of the position. Employees must work regularly scheduled shifts, during business hours to assist members and sell services in-person.
