Director of Operations | Multi-Unit Restaurant Group

We are seeking an accomplished Director of Operations to join a growing restaurant organization and provide leadership across a portfolio of high-volume locations.

This is a senior operational leadership opportunity for someone who knows how to develop strong General Managers, drive financial performance, elevate the guest experience, and create consistency across multiple restaurants.

The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen with a people-first leadership style and is equally comfortable analyzing performance, developing strategy, and spending time in the restaurants coaching leaders.

Key ResponsibilitiesMulti-Unit Leadership

Provide leadership, direction, and support to General Managers and restaurant leadership teams.
Establish clear expectations around operational performance, hospitality, culture, and accountability.
Conduct regular restaurant visits to evaluate performance, coach leaders, and identify opportunities for improvement.
Ensure company standards and operating systems are consistently executed across locations.
Develop action plans to address operational challenges and improve overall restaurant performance.

People & Leadership Development

Recruit, coach, mentor, and develop high-performing restaurant leaders.
Build a strong leadership pipeline through succession planning and internal development.
Create a culture where accountability, recognition, communication, and professional growth are priorities.
Partner with key support functions on recruiting, retention, training, and employee engagement.
Identify high-potential leaders and prepare them for increased responsibility.

Financial & Business Performance

Oversee restaurant-level P&L performance across multiple locations.
Drive revenue growth while maintaining disciplined control of labor, food costs, and operating expenses.
Analyze KPIs and financial results to identify trends and opportunities.
Develop and execute strategies that improve profitability and operational efficiency.
Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and business planning.

Guest Experience

Champion a hospitality-driven culture throughout the organization.
Ensure restaurants consistently deliver exceptional food, service, and overall guest experiences.
Evaluate guest feedback and performance trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
Hold leadership teams accountable for maintaining high standards of execution.

Operational Strategy & Growth

Partner with executive leadership on company initiatives and operational priorities.
Develop scalable systems and best practices that support continued organizational growth.
Support restaurant openings and other expansion initiatives as needed.
Lead cross-functional projects designed to strengthen operations and improve business performance.

What We're Looking For

5+ years of progressive multi-unit restaurant leadership experience
Current or previous experience as a Director of Operations, Area Director, Regional Director, or comparable senior restaurant operations leader
Strong background within high-volume, full-service or casual dining environments
Proven success managing multiple restaurant P&Ls and improving financial performance
Demonstrated ability to coach and develop General Managers and other senior restaurant leaders
Strong understanding of labor management, cost controls, budgeting, forecasting, and restaurant KPIs
Experience leading organizations through growth and operational change
Strong communication, decision-making, and relationship-building skills
Ability to balance strategic leadership with a hands-on approach to restaurant operations
Flexibility to travel within the assigned market as needed
