Full Job Description

We are seeking a sharp, persistent Office Manager / Medical Biller to take ownership of our practice's revenue cycle. Your primary mission is to ensure we are paid accurately and timely for the care our therapists provide. This is a role for a "financial detective" who enjoys digging into denials, correcting claims, and keeping our accounts receivable (A/R) clean.

Primary Responsibilities

Patient Advocacy: Onboard new patients, verify insurance benefits (PPO, HMO, Medicare, Workers' Comp), and explain coverage clearly.
Schedule Management: Proactively manage the clinic calendar to minimize "no-shows" and maximize therapist productivity.
Team Leadership: Oversee Front Desk staff and ensure the office runs like a well-oiled machine.
Denial Management: Review, appeal, and resolve denied or rejected claims
Payment Posting: Accurately post insurance payments (ERAs/EOBs) and patient payments to our billing system.
Patient Balances: Audit ledger balances, send patient statements, and handle phone calls from patients with billing or insurance questions.
A/R Clean-up: Proactively work the 30/60/90+ day aging reports to ensure no revenue is left on the table.

Required Qualifications (The "Must-Haves")

Experience: Minimum 2 years in a Medical Office environment (Physical Therapy, Chiropractic, or Orthopedic experience is a major plus).
Insurance Fluency: You must know the difference between a deductible and a co-insurance and be comfortable discussing money with patients.
Tech Savvy: Proficiency in EMR, e.g., Prompt, WebPT, Raintree, etc
Denial Expertise: Proven track record of successfully overturning insurance denials.
