Job Description:

We are actively seeking Certified Paralegals to contribute to our firm's success and support our attorneys in delivering exceptional legal services. We are hiring Certified Paralegals in all of our offices: Irvington, NY, Manhattan, NY, Woodbury, NY, and Hackensack, NJ. As a Paralegal at Gallo Vitucci Klar LLP, you will play a crucial role in assisting our legal team in case preparation, document management, research, and other essential tasks. You will also need to review and summarize medical records.

Responsibilities:

· Conduct thorough legal research and provide summaries and analysis to support attorneys' case strategies.

· Document management and organization, saving to network, indexing files.

· Review and summarize medical records.

· Assembling motions and other pleadings (including assembling of exhibits, transcripts and other pertinent documents) and filing on NYSCEF.

· Drafting standard pleadings (answers, deposition notices, notice to produce, RJIs, bills of particulars, etc.).

· Drafting and responding to standard discovery demands (interrogatories, requests to produce documents, response to Court Orders, etc.).

· Assist with medical record retrieval and document management as well as coordination and designation of defense IMEs.

· Coordinate and schedule conferences and depositions, maintain attorney calendars.

· Maintain case files and ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation.

· Prepare and file legal documents with various courts and administrative agencies.

· Coordinate and communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the legal process.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

· Candidates MUST have a certificate as a Paralegal.

· 3+ years general legal experience in NY/NJ State.

· Ability to integrate into a fast-paced environment.

· Open to taking on new responsibilities and challenging tasks.

· Bachelor's degree and/or completion of an accredited paralegal program.

· Strong knowledge of legal research methods and resources.

· Proficient in using legal databases and software for research and case management.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Strong organizational and time management abilities.

· Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.

· Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

· Familiarity with court procedures and e-filing systems.

· Knowledge of relevant legal terminology and principles.
