Full Job Description

We have Full Time positions available at our Jumbo Foods Locations.

Summary/Objective:
The Store Director supervises the work of all employees within the specific store he or she
manages. This position is responsible for the overall efficient and effective operation of the
store. This position is responsible for the establishment and maintenance of customer
satisfaction and service. This includes responding to customer requests, questions and/or
complaints.

Reports to:
General Manager, Supervisors

Essential Functions:

Responsible for supervising all store employees
Working and communication with all levels of customers, Jumbo Foods management and employees
Planning, coordinating, and implementing all company procedures and policies including but not limited to administrating checker-plu tests, department scanning and maintenance, routine, and scheduled cleaning departmental sections as well as any other areas of the store needing maintenance
Follow and administer all state and federal regulations regarding retail operations
Basic knowledge of cleaning products and MSDS requirements, and lockout tagout procedures
Safeguard and monitor all store assets, ensuring policies and procedures are implemented and followed for assets control
Maintain keys to the store
Knowledge of proper bookkeeping practices and procedures, including review of over & shorts daily
Make sure the stores are clean, orderly, properly stocked, priced, tagged, and rotated
Assist with unloading merchandise from trucks
Receiving merchandise, assuring correct count, proper charges and reviewing Exception Reports weekly
Prepares and maintains store staffing to meet acceptable production requirements
Procures and merchandise of goods for sale to customers
Assist with checking, sacking, or carryout as needed

Competencies:

Basic oral and written communication skills
Basic math skills
Independent problem-solving skills
Ability to work quickly, accurately, and independently in an efficient manner
Willing to relocate
Knowledge of all equipment in the store, including pallet jack, box knives, order

machines, box bailer (all to be used by employees 18 years of age or older with proper training), calculators, adding machines, service carts, telephone, and FM unit.

Supervisory Responsibility
All employees of the store. This position manages the hiring, corrective counseling, and
discipline of employees, directs employee workload, guides, and trains and coach’s employee’s performance daily.

Work Environment
Retail environment. Routinely opens and closes the store. May work multiple shifts and varied shifts. This position requires working weekends and holidays. Minimum work week of 5 days or 50 hours.

Physical Demands

This position requires long hours of standing and walking
Use of repetitive motion such as grasping and fine manipulation
Must be able to keep head and neck in static position, recommend frequent flexing and rotation exercises
Position requires frequent bending and push/pull
Requires occasional squatting, climbing, reaching above shoulder, kneeling, crouching
Must be able to carry and lift up to 24 pounds, may lift up to 110 pounds
