Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting pharmacists in providing high-quality patient care. You will assist in the preparation and dispensing of medications, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards while maintaining a focus on patient service. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong background in hospital settings and familiarity with medical terminology, particularly those experienced in critical and acute care environments.

Duties

Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
Maintain inventory of pharmaceuticals, ensuring proper storage conditions and timely reordering of stock.
Process prescriptions and manage medication orders while verifying patient information.
Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications.
Utilize aseptic techniques when preparing sterile products to ensure safety and compliance.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care outcomes.
Document medication administration and maintain accurate records as required by regulations.
Participate in continuous education and training to stay updated on pharmacy practices and protocols.

Skills

Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to pharmacy operations.
Experience in hospital pharmacy settings, particularly in critical care or acute care environments.
Proficiency in aseptic technique for the preparation of sterile medications.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Knowledge of pharmacy software systems for managing prescriptions and inventory.
