Full Job Description

Job Overview
Here's your chance to join--and help lead--an incredible team of people at Erie's #1 distillery. With a full production space, restaurant, bar and indoor & outdoor event space, we host 3+ nights of live music per week as well as happy hours, trivia events, open mics and open decks on Thursdays. We also have several weekly specials including Taco Tuesdays, Wine, Whiskey & Wagyu Wednesdays, Curling Leagues and more.

We offer many opportunities for growth & creativity in a casual and supportive work environment. Altered State Distillery is a production facility, craft cocktail bar, tasting room and restaurant. If you love bartending as a craft, creating and building craft cocktails from real ingredients, and are skilled at FOH service, this can be an incredible opportunity for the right candidate. Our bartenders share all duties within the distillery including creative bartending, table service, food running, bussing & bar back duties. This allows for a larger tip payout per person. We also prepare all of our employees to be brand ambassadors, able to educate patrons on all of our bottled spirits both in the tasting room and at outside events while providing a positive experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

Barback: $8 base pay plus tips ranging from 30% to 18% nightly pooled tips

Bartender: $5 base pay plus tips ranging 50%-35% nightly pooled tips

Hourly average with tips ranges from $18 to $45

Looking for availability on Weekends: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Live music and Brunch on sundays

Barback/Bartender/Server responsibilities include:

Maintaining a clean FOH (tables, counters, bar area, bathrooms and trash bins)
Building craft cocktails
Product knowledge and education
Bottle, cocktail and food service
Collecting and washing glassware
Restocking bar essentials
Preparation of mixers, juices, syrups and cocktail garnishes
Restocking bar caddies and liquor shelves
Refilling ice bins
Taking table orders, garnishing and running food and drinks
Expert knowledge of menu items and food presentation
Customer satisfaction
RAMP certification required within 6 weeks of hire
Must be 21+
Optional cross-training for line cook position or bartender position

Bartender training will be offered to applicants that show skill and experience and have an interest in working multiple positions within the company

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 14.0 – 20.0 per week
