Full Job Description

Join Our Team as a Clinical Coordinator!!

LECOM Behavioral Health Pavilion is seeking a compassionate, organized, and detail-oriented Clinical Coordinator to support our Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF). This role serves as a key liaison between patients, the interdisciplinary treatment team, physicians, pharmacies, and outside providers to help ensure exceptional patient care and a safe therapeutic environment.

The Clinical Coordinator plays an important role in facilitating intakes, coordinating medical services, overseeing medication-related processes, supporting daily patient needs, and assisting with case management and treatment planning.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for pharmacy-related needs and communication.
Coordinate medication-related services between physicians and pharmacy providers.
Complete prior authorizations and support medication management processes.
Oversee medication inventory, medication room compliance, and EMAR audits.
Monitor medication administration documentation and communicate medication changes to trained staff.
Support patient admissions and intake processes.
Obtain and coordinate external records, including school, primary care, hearing, vision, and dental information.
Schedule and coordinate medical and specialty appointments.
Assist with case management and administrative duties, including referrals and documentation.
Participate in weekly treatment team meetings.
Support patient supervision in a safe and therapeutic environment.
Provide daily living skills training and support therapeutic programming.
Facilitate structured activities and patient engagement opportunities.
Maintain professional interactions with patients, families, staff, and community providers.
Participate in ongoing education and training programs.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Ability to work in a behavioral health environment and maintain emotional stability.
Ability to lift 25 pounds or more and perform physical activities including standing, walking, bending, and lifting.

Preferred

Certifications related to healthcare or behavioral health.
Bachelor's degree in Psychology or a related field.
At least one year of experience in a behavioral healthcare setting.

Certifications

The following certifications are required within 60 days of hire:

CPR Certification
Therapeutic Holds Training
