Full Job Description

Position Title: Assistant Group Supervisor

St. Martin Early Learning Center | Erie, PA

Full-Time: 40 hours per week
Up to $18.00 per hour, benefits available

St. Martin Early Learning Center is seeking a dependable and caring Assistant Group Supervisor to support classroom teachers in providing a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children.

Qualifications:

Candidates must meet one of the following Pennsylvania childcare qualification levels:

Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, or related Human Services field with 30 ECE credits.
Child Development Associate (CDA) credential and minimum of 2 years of childcare experience.

Additional Requirements:

Must be able to lift 25 pounds
Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license
Must obtain required background clearances
Must pass a physical and TB test

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Group Supervisor with implementing daily classroom activities and lesson plans.
Supervise children to ensure safety and well-being at all times.
Help prepare materials for educational and developmental activities.
Maintain a clean, organized, and nurturing classroom environment.
Support children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Maintain open communication with parents and families.
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development.
Assist with student observations, documentation, and portfolios as required.
