Job Summary
The Endpoint Solutions Architect is a senior-level technical leader responsible for the strategy, architecture, standards, and operational excellence of the organization's end-user computing environment. This role serves as the technical authority for endpoint management, digital workplace technologies, identity services, software delivery, device lifecycle management, and end-user experience.
This position combines strategic planning with hands-on technical leadership to ensure employees have a secure, reliable, and modern workplace technology experience. The Endpoint Solutions Architect will drive technology standards, evaluate emerging technologies, lead modernization initiatives, and collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, Service Desk, and business stakeholders to shape the future of end-user computing.
The role provides technical leadership across endpoint platforms while maintaining oversight of Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, endpoint security, software deployment, hardware lifecycle management, and digital workplace strategy.

Duties and Responsibilities
End User Computing Strategy & Leadership
Define and maintain the end-user computing vision, standards, roadmap, and technology lifecycle strategy.
Ensure alignment between endpoint technologies, business objectives, security requirements, and operational goals.
Evaluate, select, and govern workplace technologies that improve employee productivity and user experience.
Lead technology modernization initiatives supporting the organization's digital workplace strategy.
Endpoint Engineering & Device Management
Architect, implement, and administer endpoint management platforms.
Manage device provisioning, configuration management, compliance, patching, and lifecycle management.
Establish endpoint standards, security baselines, and automation processes.
Develop and maintain operating system deployment strategies across supported devices.
Lead continuous improvement efforts focused on reliability, security, and operational efficiency.
Active Directory & Identity Services
Partner with Information Security to strengthen identity governance and security controls.
Own the operational management of Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Group Policy, and related identity services.
Define standards for directory structure, access controls, delegated administration, and role-based access management.
Support identity lifecycle management and compliance initiatives.
Software Distribution & Application Management
Develop enterprise software deployment, packaging, update, and lifecycle management strategies.
Manage modern application delivery platforms and software deployment processes.
Drive automation and self-service capabilities that improve efficiency and user experience.
Hardware Strategy & Asset Management
Define enterprise hardware standards, refresh strategies, and technology roadmaps.
Lead hardware evaluations, testing, vendor engagement, and solution selection.
Ensure technology investments are cost-effective, scalable, and aligned with business needs.
Oversee asset governance, inventory management, fulfillment processes, and standardization efforts.
End User Experience & Digital Workplace
Establish standards and best practices for collaboration, productivity, mobility, and self-service technologies.
Partner with Service Desk and business stakeholders to identify and resolve recurring technology challenges.
Improve employee productivity through enhanced workplace technology solutions.
Security & Compliance
Ensure endpoint and identity platforms comply with organizational security standards and regulatory requirements.
Partner with Information Security teams to implement endpoint protection and compliance controls.
Support vulnerability remediation efforts and secure access initiatives.
Participate in audits, incident response activities, and ongoing security programs.
Operational Excellence
Develop operational processes that improve service quality, consistency, and efficiency.
Lead or contribute to technology projects, platform upgrades, and strategic initiatives.
Manage vendor relationships and technology partnerships.
Drive continuous improvement across endpoint and workplace technologies.
Required Experience
7+ years of experience supporting enterprise endpoint technologies.
5+ years of experience in endpoint engineering, systems administration, or end-user computing architecture roles.
Experience managing Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID within large enterprise environments.
Strong experience with Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM), Autopilot, and Group Policy.
Experience with software packaging, deployment, and lifecycle management.
Experience supporting Microsoft 365, Teams, and related collaboration technologies.
Strong knowledge of endpoint security, identity management, and Zero Trust principles.
Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.
Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and influence enterprise technology strategy.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting manufacturing, distribution, or multi-site operational environments.
Experience leading Windows 11 migrations and endpoint modernization initiatives.
Knowledge of Identity Governance and Administration (IGA), Privileged Access Management (PAM), and Conditional Access.
Experience managing Apple macOS and mobile device platforms.
Familiarity with VDI, DaaS, and cloud-delivered workspace technologies.
Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate.
Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate.
Microsoft Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert.
ITIL Foundation Certification.
