Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Painter/Carpenter, where you will play a vital role in transforming spaces through expert craftsmanship and attention to detail. This energetic position combines the artistry of painting with the precision of carpentry, ensuring that residential, commercial, and industrial projects are completed to the highest standards. You will be responsible for surface preparation, applying coatings, installing fixtures, and performing renovation tasks that enhance and preserve building structures. Your expertise will contribute to creating safe, beautiful, and functional environments for our clients.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting and carpentry work by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primers to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality
- Execute a variety of painting techniques including brush painting, roller painting, spray painting (including airless and conventional spray methods), with an emphasis on safety regulations and proper use of respiratory protection
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to accurately carry out construction estimating, renovation, remodeling, and maintenance projects
- Install fixtures such as moldings, trim, cabinetry, drywall, stucco finishes, and other structural components using hand tools and power tools
- Perform structural painting on various surfaces including masonry and stucco while adhering to safety protocol guidelines
- Conduct surface preparation for industrial and commercial coating applications using construction spray painting techniques and coating materials
- Utilize ladder safety protocols when working at heights; operate scaffolding or lifts as needed for elevated work areas
- Assist in framing carpentry tasks related to remodeling projects; interpret blueprints to ensure precise installation of fixtures and structural elements
- Apply caulking and sealants to improve insulation and prevent water intrusion; perform masonry repairs as necessary
- Support ongoing maintenance tasks on construction sites by handling handyman duties such as fixture installation or minor repairs
Experience
- Proven experience in construction site environments with a focus on residential or commercial painting and carpentry projects
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including airless systems), brushes, rollers, and scaffolding equipment safely and effectively
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes to assess project scope and material needs accurately
- Familiarity with safety regulations related to construction painting surfaces, respiratory protection standards, ladder use, and site safety protocols
- Experience interpreting technical drawings or blueprints for accurate project execution
- Background in renovation projects involving plastering, stucco application, framing carpentry, masonry work or remodeling activities
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations necessary during project planning and execution
- Hands-on experience with industrial painting techniques is a plus but not required
