Job Title: Library Associate II – STREAM
Position Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Branch: Erlanger, 401 Kenton Lands Rd, Erlanger, KY 41018
Pay Range: $15.70 - $22.15 per hour
Work Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week), with a schedule that may include any day of the week, including days, evenings, weekends, and the holidays the Library is open.

We’re looking for a Library Associate II – STREAM who is curious, hands-on, and excited about helping others create, explore, and learn with technology. If you enjoy working with makerspace tools and emerging tech, teaching others how to bring their ideas to life, and fostering a welcoming environment for experimentation and discovery, this role offers a dynamic way to connect the community with innovative resources and creative possibilities.
What You’ll Do

Train staff and patrons on emerging technologies and troubleshoot a variety of devices.
- Develop helpful handouts and instructional materials for the public.
- Manage supplies and inventory, and maintain accurate records, reports, and statistics.
- Support staff by providing guidance, training, and coordination of work as needed.
- Assist with planning and delivering library programs, including leading select initiatives.
- Serve as a resource for colleagues and help ensure smooth daily operations, including acting as Staff-in-Charge when needed.
- Provide excellent customer service across all service points (in person, phone, email, and chat), using a wide range of resources.
- Enforce library policies and maintain a safe, welcoming environment for all patrons.
- Handle core circulation tasks such as library cards, account maintenance, holds, and renewals.
- Help with opening/closing duties, maintain an orderly space, and support other departments as needed.

Perform other job-related tasks as needed to support department operations.

Qualifications Required

Bachelor’s Degree in a technology field preferred; high school graduate or equivalent with some college required.

Previous work related experience in training or instructional setting preferred.

KDLA certification or ability to obtain certification (if working 100+ hours per month).

Moderate physical demands including the ability to bend, kneel, reach to retrieve library materials and carry items weighing up to 50lbs, and can push book trucks or bins weighing 100lbs.
