Job Summary

We are on the lookout for a passionate and reliable Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our vibrant culinary team. In this role, you'll be the backbone of our kitchen, helping to prepare delicious meals with precision and care. Whether you're slicing, dicing, or cooking up a storm, your skills will ensure every dish meets our high standards. Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
Assist with meal preparation, including slicing, chopping, and portioning ingredients using proper knife skills and slicing techniques.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, stoves, mixers, and other appliances.
Maintain cleanliness of workstations by following sanitation protocols and adhering to food safety management practices.
Support menu planning efforts by preparing ingredients needed for daily service or special catering events.
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate food production and ensure timely delivery of meals.
Follow safety standards in production and handle food responsibly to prevent cross-contamination or spoilage.

Qualifications

Previous experience in food service, restaurant kitchens, or dietary departments is highly desirable.
Knowledge of food handling procedures, safety standards, and sanitation practices.
Experience with food preparation, cooking techniques, and operating various kitchen equipment.
Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques for efficient ingredient prep.
Ability to follow recipes accurately while maintaining consistency across dishes.
Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members during busy service times.
A background in dietary aide work or dietary department experience is a plus but not required.
