Payroll Clerk - Mid-Level:
On behalf of our HR client, Procom is searching for a Payroll Clerk - Mid-Level for a 6-month contract. This position is onsite 5 days a week at our client's Westlake office.

Payroll Clerk - Mid-Level - Job Description:
As a Payroll Specialist, you will support daily and bi-weekly payroll activities while helping the team meet strict processing deadlines. The role involves performing accurate payroll calculations, resolving employee inquiries, and assisting with payroll projects and process improvements.

Payroll Clerk - Mid-Level - Responsibilities:

Communicate clearly and professionally to resolve payroll questions.
Ensure payroll data, calculations, and corrections are accurate.
Support payroll processes, including garnishment backup and off-cycle payments.
Use sound judgment to identify payroll issues and escalate when needed.
Resolve ServiceNow cases related to earnings, taxes, and deductions.
Maintain and prepare monthly payroll metrics and reports.
Contribute to special projects and process improvements.
Collaborate effectively as part of a team while managing individual responsibilities.

Payroll Clerk - Mid-Level - Mandatory Skills:

3+ years of full-cycle, multi-state payroll processing experience.
Experience with Workday Payroll, timekeeping, or absence management.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.
Experience using payroll systems and data query tools.
Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.
Knowledge of federal and state payroll laws and compliance.
Ability to collaborate effectively and work independently.

Payroll Clerk - Mid-Level – Nice-to-Have Skills:

Certified Payroll Professional certification.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
Continuous improvement mindset.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proven success in both team-oriented and independent environments.

Payroll Clerk - Mid-Level – Assignment Length:
This is a 6-month contract
