Licensed Massage Therapist (Full-Time or Part-Time)
Compass Proactive Health | Eugene, Oregon
Join a Team That Believes Healthcare Works Better Together
Compass Proactive Health is an integrative healthcare clinic where Massage Therapy is an essential part of patient care—not an add-on service.
Our collaborative team includes Physical Therapy, Acupuncture, Health Coaching, and is expanding to include Behavioral Health and Primary Care. We believe patients achieve the best outcomes when providers communicate, collaborate, and treat the whole person.
If you're looking for a workplace where your clinical knowledge is respected, your ideas are valued, and you have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact, we'd love to meet you.
Our Care Philosophy
At Compass Proactive Health, we believe healing happens through trust, education, collaboration, and movement.
Massage therapy is much more than symptom relief. It can reduce pain, improve mobility, calm the nervous system, support recovery, and help people reconnect with their bodies.
We recognize that pain is influenced by physical, emotional, and lifestyle factors. Our therapists work closely with the rest of our healthcare team to create individualized treatment plans that support lasting change.
Communication is one of our most valuable clinical tools. We value therapists who listen well, educate patients, and build strong therapeutic relationships. Experience with—or a willingness to learn—Motivational Interviewing and behavior-change communication is highly valued.
Position Overview
We are seeking an Oregon Licensed Massage Therapist who enjoys therapeutic, medically informed massage and values working alongside other healthcare professionals.
Our massage therapists collaborate regularly with Physical Therapists, Acupuncturists, Health Coaches, and other providers to support patient goals. We encourage professional growth, clinical curiosity, and teamwork.
Current Scheduling Needs
Our greatest need is for therapists who are available:
- Friday shifts
- Weekday morning appointments
Additional weekday hours are available and can be built around these high-demand times as your practice grows.
Both full-time and part-time positions are available.
What You'll Do
- Provide individualized therapeutic massage treatments
- Collaborate with our interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Educate patients on posture, movement, stretching, recovery, and self-care
- Document treatment using Jane (our electronic health record)
- Communicate with other providers to support coordinated patient care
- Continue developing your clinical skills in a collaborative environment
What We're Looking For
You may be a great fit if you:
- Hold an active Oregon Massage Therapy license
- Enjoy therapeutic and orthopedic massage
- Are passionate about helping people move and feel better
- Communicate with warmth, professionalism, and empathy
- Value collaboration with other healthcare providers
- Use—or are excited to learn—Motivational Interviewing and other behavior-change communication skills
- Appreciate trauma-informed, patient-centered care
- Believe education and patient empowerment create better long-term outcomes
- Are curious, growth-oriented, and committed to lifelong learning
Additional training in myofascial release, cupping, oncology massage, prenatal massage, lymphatic techniques, craniosacral therapy, or other specialty modalities is welcomed but not required.
What We Don't Do
We believe exceptional massage therapy requires time, presence, and clinical reasoning.
That's why we intentionally avoid:
- Productivity quotas or pressure to maximize the number of clients seen each day
- Rushed appointments that leave little time for assessment or patient education
- One-size-fits-all treatment routines
- Working in isolation from other healthcare providers
- Measuring success primarily by volume or revenue
Instead, we measure success by:
- Excellent patient outcomes
- Meaningful therapeutic relationships
- Clinical collaboration
- Patient education and empowerment
- Professional growth
- Helping people create lasting improvements in their health
What We Offer
- Collaborative interdisciplinary healthcare environment
- Consistent referrals from multiple in-house providers
- Flexible scheduling
- Administrative, scheduling, and billing support
- Beautiful treatment rooms
- Supportive, mission-driven team culture
- Opportunities for continuing education and professional development
- Competitive compensation based on experience
- Opportunity to grow alongside an expanding integrative healthcare practice
