JOB SUMMARY: The Harrisburg School District is seeking a dependable, safety-focused Part-Time School Bus Trip Driver to provide safe and reliable transportation for students attending athletic events, field trips, and other extracurricular activities during school hours, evenings, and weekends.
Key Responsibilities:

Safely transport students to and from school, field trips, and other district-sanctioned events.

Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is in good operating condition.

Maintain a clean and orderly bus environment.

Adhere to all traffic laws and school district policies.
-
Monitor student behavior on the bus to ensure a safe and respectful environment.

Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
-
Report any mechanical issues, delays, or accidents to the appropriate authorities promptly.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a School Bus (S) endorsement.

Clean driving record with no history of major violations.

Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Patience, reliability, and a genuine interest in working with children.

SALARY RANGE: $23.22-$31.26 per hour. Placement on the salary schedule will be commensurate with experience.
BENEFITS: Employer-paid insurance CAP to assist with health, dental and vision premiums, employer-paid Basic Life and AD&D policies. Two (2) days of personal leave, ten (10) days sick leave, seven (7) paid holidays, and PERS retirement contribution. Applicable benefits will be prorated based on FTE.
