ABOUT THIS POSITION
This position is a temporary, part-time, paid internship at Connected Lane County. The Donor Communications Intern supports Connected Lane County’s fundraising and stewardship efforts by helping ensure donors feel informed, appreciated, and connected to our impact. This role combines administrative support, communications, and light relationship-building to strengthen donor engagement and community connections.
To maximize the learning experience and enable interns to take on increasingly meaningful projects, we are seeking candidates who can commit to two consecutive academic terms, approximately six months.
DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with donor stewardship through thank-you communications, mailings, and outreach.
- Maintain accurate donor records, gift tracking, and reports in the organization's CRM.
- Support fundraising campaigns, donor communications, newsletters, and impact stories.
- Capture photos and create content for fundraising, marketing, and donor engagement.
- Assist with community events, tabling, donor tours, and post-event follow-up.
- Research prospective sponsors and support outreach to businesses, donors, and community partners.
- Compile and summarize program and survey data to support impact reporting.
- Prepare outreach materials and provide general administrative support for development activities.
- Collaborate with staff to support fundraising initiatives and strengthen donor engagement.
- Some evening/weekend availability for events may be requested
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Coursework, volunteer experience, campus leadership, or previous internships relevant to the position are encouraged but not required.
- Demonstrated interest in youth development, nonprofit work, workforce development, or a related field is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Interest in nonprofit work, fundraising, or communications
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Comfort with Google Workspace; experience with CRM systems is a plus
