Insurance Contract Specialist
Location: Eugene, Oregon
Company: AMC Billing LLC
Job Type: Full-Time | Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

AMC Billing LLC is a dynamic and growing healthcare billing company committed to excellence in revenue cycle management. We are seeking an experienced Insurance Contract Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in insurance contracting, negotiation, and compliance, with a focus on securing competitive rates and favorable terms with insurance carriers.

Position Summary:

The Insurance Contract Specialist will be responsible for negotiating, drafting, and managing insurance contracts while ensuring compliance with applicable policies and submission guidelines. This role plays a critical part in our organization’s success by maintaining positive relationships with payers and contributing to optimized revenue performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Negotiate, draft, and revise contracts with insurance carriers.
Request and organize documentation required for contract submissions.
Verify contract completeness and ensure alignment with submission guidelines.
Research and evaluate contract opportunities and payer policy changes.
Identify and track fee schedules and medical policies.
Maintain communication with insurance agencies, verifying up-to-date contact information.
Monitor and track contract statuses and outcomes.
Provide regular updates to management and meet defined departmental goals.
Create and refine templates to streamline the contract development process.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support the Billing Department.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience in insurance contracting, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Strong knowledge of insurance policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
Exceptional negotiation and communication abilities.
Proficiency in reviewing and interpreting complex insurance documentation.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software applications.
Analytical thinker with the ability to problem-solve and adapt.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

Office-based clerical environment with standard equipment (computer, phone, copier, etc.).
Primarily sedentary with occasional filing responsibilities requiring lifting and standing.

Additional Information:

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Some flexibility may be considered.
Travel: No travel is required for this position.
