About the Role

As a Metal Fabrication Specialist, you will play a vital role in constructing and repairing the heavy-duty infrastructure that powers essential industries. By applying your expertise in structural welding and precision fabrication, you will ensure that every component meets rigorous quality standards and contributes to the operational success of our large-scale projects.

Responsibilities

Execute high-quality MIG, Flux Core, and Stick welds on structural steel and heavy industrial components.
Translate complex blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings into finished metal structures.
Operate essential fabrication tools, including torches, grinders, and cutting equipment, to achieve precise finishes.
Manage the safe movement and positioning of heavy materials using overhead cranes and rigging systems.
Conduct thorough inspections of all welds to guarantee adherence to project specifications and safety requirements.
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace to support high-volume production goals.
Collaborate with the fabrication team to troubleshoot assembly challenges and improve project outcomes.

Qualifications

Required Skills

Proven experience in industrial welding and metal fabrication.
Strong proficiency in MIG, Flux Core, and Stick welding techniques.
Demonstrated ability to interpret detailed blueprints and fabrication schematics.
Experience working with heavy plate steel and large-scale industrial assemblies.
Competency in safe rigging practices and the operation of overhead lifting equipment.
Commitment to maintaining high safety standards and wearing required protective gear.

Preferred Skills

Current AWS welding certifications.
Prior experience in heavy manufacturing, mining, or marine repair sectors.
Advanced proficiency in fitting and independent fabrication.
Certified experience operating forklifts and industrial cranes.
