Responsible for applying and removing casts and splints as directed by physician.

Education and Experience

registered orthopedic technician, certified orthopedic technician, or similar educational training/background preferable

Applies and removes casts and splints for orthopedic patients as directed by a provider.
Removes sutures and stitches from incisions
Assists with simple wound care and wound vacs as trained
Evaluates potential new equipment and processes
Cross trains in other areas and assists with other medical duties as appropriate
Documents patient care through the Nextgen EMR System.
Assists patients on/off casting table.
Other duties as assigned.
