Full Job Description

We are looking for a dependable, organized, and personable part-time Medical Office Administrative Assistant to join our small physical therapy office. We provide physical therapy services for both people and animals, so this position involves interaction with patients, pet owners, medical offices, and veterinary clinics.

This is an ongoing part-time position with the opportunity for temporarily increased hours during an upcoming maternity leave. Hours will increase to approximately full-time from November through mid-to-end December, then return to a regular part-time schedule. This could be a great fit for someone looking for consistent part-time work who also has the flexibility for increased hours during that period.

We are hoping to find someone who can start soon, become comfortable with the day-to-day responsibilities before November, and remain with us long-term.

Duties

Manage day-to-day front office responsibilities, including phones, scheduling, patient communication, and payments
Maintain patient records, referrals, reports, and general documentation
Perform routine administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, scanning, faxing, and correspondence
Assist with basic bookkeeping, QuickBooks, deposits, and recordkeeping
Communicate with patients, pet owners, medical offices, and veterinary clinics
Assist with general office organization and administrative needs
Run occasional local office errands, such as picking up supplies or making deposits

Experience & Qualifications

Previous administrative, medical office, front desk, or similar experience preferred
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Professional and friendly communication skills
Comfortable working independently and managing multiple responsibilities
Proficiency with computers and common office programs
QuickBooks experience is a plus, but not required
Medical or veterinary office experience is a plus, but not required
Dependable and punctual
Must be comfortable around animals, particularly dogs and cats

Social Media & Outreach

Experience with social media management, content creation, website design or maintenance, or digital marketing is a major plus as we continue to expand our online presence and community outreach.

Pay: From $18.50 per hour
