About the Role
We are seeking an Admissions Specialist, to be the first point of contact for individuals seeking support and treatment for substance use disorders. Your role is vital in evaluating patient needs, coordinating assessments, and facilitating smooth transitions into care. You’ll work closely with clinical teams to ensure timely, compassionate, and professional service from first contact through admission. This is a high-impact position ideal for someone with a strong clinical foundation, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a passion for making a difference in the lives of others.
What You’ll Do

- Serve as the first point of contact for individuals seeking treatment, providing accurate information and compassionate support.
- Conduct screenings and assessments to determine appropriate level of care using ASAM and DSM-5 criteria.
- Coordinate the admissions process, including documentation, scheduling, and warm handoffs to clinical staff.
- Accurately enter client data and manage follow-ups to ensure timely and complete admissions.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to review risk factors and support smooth transitions into care.
- Assist in crisis situations and support intake operations during evenings or weekends as needed.
What We’re Looking For
- High School Diploma
- CADC-R certification, minimum (must obtain CADC I within 12 months of hire)
- Clinical Knowledge: Familiarity with ASAM criteria, DSM-5, HIPAA regulations, required
- Prior experience conducting clinical assessments in healthcare, preferred
- Strong clinical interviewing, assessment, and documentation abilities
- Proficiency in EHR systems and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Capacity to manage sensitive situations with cultural competence and professionalism
- Effective multitasking and time management in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work collaboratively and adhere to structured protocols
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen (Serenity Lane is a Cannabis THC-free workplace)
