Full Job Description

A well‑established senior living community in the Springfield, OR area is seeking a passionate and experienced Licensed RN to serve as our Director of Health Services. This leadership role oversees our Health Services program and ensures high‑quality, resident‑centered care throughout the community.

Responsibilities of the Director of Health Services

Provide professional, compassionate leadership to employees, residents, families, and healthcare partners.
Supervise and ensure the quality of nursing and supportive services across the community.
Complete move‑in, change‑of‑condition, and quarterly assessments; identify resident needs across all care domains.
Lead and participate in care plan development to ensure individualized, high‑quality care.
Investigate incidents, behavior changes, and alerts; document findings and communicate appropriately.
Perform medication room/cart audits and monitor the 24‑hour communication and alert system.
Review physician orders, progress notes, hospital documentation, and transcriptions for accuracy and compliance.
Support leadership in ensuring policies, procedures, and state regulations are consistently followed.
Hire, train, evaluate, and support health services employees; ensure all direct care staff meet state‑required training standards.
Manage scheduling, supply purchasing, budget forecasting, and departmental compliance.
Ensure residents are treated with dignity, privacy, and respect; follow standard precautions and infection control procedures.
Complete all state‑required training upon hire and annually.

Required Experience

Current RN license in the state of Oregon.
One year of nursing experience in senior living preferred; Memory Care experience strongly valued.
Strong assessment, communication, and leadership skills.
Basic computer proficiency.
Ability to obtain continuing education credits as required by state regulations.
Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.

Job Type

Full‑Time Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
